PSHS Panther Athletics Booster meeting

The PSHS athletics Booster Meeting that was cazncelled due to senior activities will be held immediately after clearance night  Monday June 17th. It will be a short end of year meeting. I am hoping all involved can stay after clearance night and help put a close to a great year with the boosters. All seasons reps and board members are expected to attend. Coaches and Parents are always welcome. Involvement next year will be critical for our continued success.Please meet in the PSHS Cafe immediately following clearance night.

Thank you to all who have helped out this year making PSHS sports a great experience!

NEW Online Registration for Sports!

We are excited to announce that we are now offering the convenience of online registration for our sports programs at Plymouth South High School in conjunction with partner company, FamilyID www.familyid.com.
 
Family ID is a SECURE registration platform that provides you with an easy, user-friendly way to register for our athletic programs.  When you register through Family ID, you enter your information once for multiple uses, multiple kids, and multiple programs.
 
Helpful information to have in place prior to registering:
 
  • Completed online concussion course.  State law requires that student/athletes as well as their parent/guardian complete the concussion course yearly.  During registration you will be asked to sign off that you have completed the course. 
 
The website for the parent course is:  http://www.nfhslearn.com/electiveDetail.aspx?courseID=15000
 
  • Doctor’s Information/Health Insurance Information – Physical Paperwork still must be submitted at Meet the Coaches Night to your child’s coach.
 
Please see below for the process:
 
  • Go to www.familyid.com
  • In the upper right hand corner, click on the “Sign-Up” icon
  • Sign up for your secure Family ID account by entering the requested information.
  • You will receive an email to confirm your new account.
  • Click on the link in your email and you will be directed to the Panthers registration site.  The logo on this form is the same logo on our account.
  • On the main page click on “Fall 2013 Athletics.”  This link is below the scrolling photos.
  • The online form will appear – please complete all sections of the form.
  • After all sections are complete hit “save and continue”
  • You will receive a confirmation email from Family ID confirming your registration.  You can log into Family ID at any time to update information and/or check your registration.
 
Please contact Athletic Director Fry, your child’s coach, or Family ID directly with any questions!

Press Release 5/24/13 - ​PLYMOUTH SOUTH’S ATHLETES OF THE WEEK

The G & G/PSHS Female Athlete of the Week is senior Darby Andersson.  Andersson improved her record in No. 1 singles (9-8) going (2-1) last week on the tennis court. In her first victory of the week against Sandwich, Andersson dominated the court, winning in straight sets (6-4, 6-0) against an opponent she had lost to earlier in the season. In spite of Wednesday’s rain, Andersson played a hard fought battle against one of the top singles players in the state from Carver, losing a close match (8-10). She came out on top again Friday with a win at Pembroke, beating her opponent in straight sets (6-4, 6-4). Andersson's season so far has been quite impressive, jumping ahead into the No. 1 singles position this year after playing No. 2 doubles last year. Her hard work on the court during the season and off-season is truly paying off. Congratulations and great job, Darby!



The G & G/PSHS Male Athlete of the Week is senior Edward Savage.  Savage recorded a save and a win while hitting over .300 for the week beginning with a two-inning save over Silver Lake and giving up only 1 hit.  He then came back on Thursday pitching 4 innings against Whitman-Hanson, again giving up only 1 hit and earning the win.  Savage has been a leader for the Baseball Team all year on the field.  Great work and congratulations, Ted!
